Do all stock covers have holes for towers?

I have a 2006 Challenger 180 CS... No tower. I've been looking for a cover and bought a stock cover from a dealer. The box says it's for 2007-2009 challenger 180. The dealer says they change the model numbers for the covers every year and that this cover will work on all 18' seadoo boats.

However, when I installed the cover I found this one was made to accommodate a tower - which I do not have. So the result is there are 4 2" holes in the cover that will allow water right into the boat. I was planning on using this to keep water OUT.

Are all SeaDoo stock covers like this, or do they make them without extra holes?

Thanks

I picked up my new Challenger a couple of weeks ago from the dealer and ordered the cover with it. The Seadoo cover came with the 4 holes for the tower. Not a huge deal for me and it's an awesome looking cover that fits like a glove. I've towed the boat a few times with the factory cover and it's great

I went and picked up a cheap mooring cover from Walmart to throw over it while it's in the drive way to keep the bird crap off the expensive factory cover.

To my knowledge there is a difference with the covers. I believe you need a cover that is for you boat without the tower.

According to the 2009 Seadoo Accessories Catalogue the only cover for a '06 180 Challenger and up is part number 280 000 284. It only lists the 1 part number and does not indicate that there is a separate cover available for this boat without tower.

If the 4 holes bother you I think you'd need to go with the Poppy Cover as that one is available for Challenger 180 with or without tower.

My boat does not have the tower but the factory cover works great even with the 4 holes in it. I love the look and the large Seadoo logo on front across windshield plus at the back and it had the 180 Challenger logo across the sides.

For me it was worth the $

I was looking at one new last year and the dealer told me he had the cover for the one with or with the tower, in stock for which ever model I decided to buy... I bought the 200 speedster instead. I beleive he said it was a stock seadoo cover.

I thought I shoudl post a follow-up.

As it turns out, the cover came with 4 square patches to cover the holes for the tower. I think the idea is that the dealer is supposed to use them to sew it up.

I borrowed a sewing machine from a neighbor, bought some UV protected thread and went to work. It cam out pretty good. Would have looked better if a pro did it. Probably would have cost me 50 bucks or so. But it looks goo enough.

Patches

Nah,

I think the patches are provided if you accidentally rip a hole in the cover. That cover should be available with and without holes for the tower.
