No, you did not fry your electrical system. That only applies to the models that use the DESS (digital electronic security system), which came out in late 95, early 96. Your module is basically nothing more than a rpm limiter.

You can keep testing, get it running. That was one of the first Seadoo's on the market. If you have a problem with fire to your plugs, check all the kill switches. They run in cascade to each other and if one of them sticks, it'll keep you from running the motor......

thanks for the reply and the good news. any ideas on why it wont crank over. i need a bunch of parts for it but i wanted to at least get it spinning. i can turn it freely by hand by the shaft with the plugs out but then i try starting it with the starter and the starter engages but wont turn the motor. i did take the starter out and test it on the ground and it does work and spin very well. put the starter back in and connected the battery charger right to the post on the starter and the ground wire and turned the charger back on and same thing , starter engages but wont spin the motor over. im new to all this and i DO appreciate the help and suggestions.

try to crank it w/o spark plugs. If it turns over you are dealing with a dead battery...

well got tired of just messing around and pulled the motor out so i could work on it easier. pulled the head off and cranked it by hand and it all moved fine. hooked the battery charger back up to the starter and the starter engaged and spun the motor over, tried it again and the starter let out a scream as it tried to engage the flywheel. turns out the teeth on the flywheel re all chewed up so now im looking for a flywheel. anyone have a good one sitting in their garage collecting dust for cheap?
