Just got my boat and wondering wht simple products I can use to remove the brown stain from the bottom of the boat. People have told me there are some homemade methods to remove it or you can go with a good cleaner?

Any suggestions on either guys?

Any decent Hull Cleaner would work. I prefer Marykate On-Off Hull and Bottom cleaner. All they are is a weak acid solution mixed with a detergent.

If you use Muriatic acid, make sure you dilute it. When you dilute it, make sure you add the acid to the water. You never add water to acid. Also, when you mix acid to water, it will generate heat. Make sure your container can take the heat. Do not leave it on long and rinse with LOTS OF WATER.

You also do not want to get this on your trailer, cement driveway, or anywhere other then the hull. Muriatic acid is very corrosive and be careful of the fumes.

This stuff is not pet or children safe.

try The Works Tub and Tile its in a white bottle with grean writing.$1 at the dollar store. its made for fiberglass tubs and removes hard water stains.... I'm from louisiana and know that brown film well, it will disapear.

just add a little water with it in a bucket wipe on let it sit for a min or two and hose off. I didn't believe my dad when he told me about it, he uses it on his Welcraft all the time
