dess key stopped working

Hi all. My dess key was working fine yesterday and now it doesnt work at all, (no beeps)(same responce in our other skis, no beeps) its all clean inside i have tried keys from our other skis and they all make the single beep, and i also changed the post (i had one laying around) advanced diagnostics says 1 long beep, 1 short beep. new battery installed today can any one suggest anything?

1 beep = wrong key
1 long = electrical interferance or poor connection
2 beeps = MPEM confirms the key embedded code and the ignition has been activated for start-up.

You may have a disconnected or loose wire in the harness, or problem in the stator. And wrong key!

or the rom chip in the key went bad

ROM chip? why would this just go bad overnight?
is there anything i can do about it? other than a new key from a dealer?

not really man. yeah when the chip goes it goes. a trip to the stealership, or a place with the computer to hook to the mpem, is pretty much the best way to find out what your dealing with.
