DESS key cleaning? 2009 rxp

Ok, my regular key is giving me trouble but my learning key is fine. Is there a way to renew the key? I have checked the inside of the key for shavings and it looks just fine. I read in the other thread about "start button --key--twist" and will try that next time out.

Since the learning key works I don't think it's the post. Am I wrong?

I know you can take a q-tip and clean the contacts with alcohol,,.but,,,there is a maximum resistance test for the chip that is in the key,,,so,,measure the ohms of the good key and compare it to the ohms of the problem key?,,,,the ohms of the key should be less than 10,
