Depth Sounder

I want to mount a depth sounder to my 2006 RXP where is the best place to mount the transducer for thru hull ( don't think a transom mount would work) and the best wire to obtain the 12 volt switched power source? Thanks for any help.

Seadoo makes a depth sounder.. It came stock on my 06 gtx.. I can't spend time to do a search I'm at work but spend a couple minutes and do a google search or click "parts" on the top right corner of this page...

I would also find a new dealer because they are going to have to activate it in the ecu.. And if they don't know seadoo offered a depth sounder I'm sure they don't know how to activate it in the ecu... Or if you have a buds or candoo system you can turn the feature on your self

seadoo doesn't offer it for the rxp because they didn't give the transducer a place to be mounted on the rear inside of the hull like they did for the gtx/rxt. I'm not sure if they made it an option on the ECU that BUDS can activate. I'd have to check an RXP and I may do this if I get a free moment. I am curious because I have a couple of the seadoo depth finder kits new in box and would like to put one on my personal RXP.

Thanks for the reply and the time I would really like to have the factory one, the local dealer said they called seadoo but how do you know if they reall did or not?

Thanks for all the help and to Wilmington Power Sports:thumbsup:. They got the part for me and installed it! Needless to say I will not even buy a oil filter from my local dealer, their quote was almost 3 times what I got charged by WPS they said it couldn't be done with out changing my dash and having to splice in the harness $$$$$ so I feel like I was totally lied to. They also checked it over for me and instead of trying to make more money off me they gave it to me straight told me to ride the summer and come back in the fall.:thumbsup: I really recommend WPS it takes me 2.5 hours to get their but totally worth it.

And I am not a troll and don't work for WPS
