Cant figure out what to do here.

Need input

I have a 1999 GSX limited in perfect running conditon and about a 7 out of 10 cosmetic once i get a new seat. Tuned up before every summer

A 1996 XP with a locked motor and about a 5 out of 10 cosmetic. Both on a double trailer.

Have to sell them to pay for back surgery, which i couldn't ride them if i wanted to.

What do you think there worth together, and should i try and part out the XP for the electronics and such instead of trying to sell them as buy one get one free.

I am very mechanically inclined so i considered a new engine and then selling them but I cant dish out any cash at the moment.

First let me say "sorry to hear about your back problems and I hope all goes well"
As far as the ski's are concerned, I would sell them to the best offer that is close to what I would like to get out of them. No point in throwing good money after bad (motor work etc.) That being said, we are always buying things and losing money on them, just the way things are I guess.
In today's econemy, you will probably have to cut your losses and move on, maybe when you are healed up you will find another "deal" and start over again.

sorry to hear about your back...I have been asking myself the same question about my ski. Do some checking around on e-bay...If you are able to get the parts off (without causing more back issues) you may be better off parting out the XP.
