Debris fell into oil fill

A piece of black tape fell into the oil fill on my 2012 GTI 130. Is this going to cause a problem that the oil filter won’t catch?

I would be concerned it will clog the tube...

Yeah that sounds like an issue. It will clog the screen starving it of oil. Assuming it makes it there. If it’s like my 2007 rxt it’s pretty easy to take the fill tube assembly off. Look up a video of replacing the front oil pump and it will show you how to take it off
