I RECENTLY JOINED THIS SITE AND AS A NEW MEMBER . i POSTED A DEALER
PROBLEM ABOUT GETTING TAKEN FOR A RIDE. I HAD A NEW 787 ROTAX
MOTOR INSTALLED AT A LOCAL DEALER AND THEY KEPT ADDING EXTRAS
LIKE NEW REBUILT CARBS AT THE LAST MINUTE BEFORE WATER TESTING.
I ALSO HAD OIL UNDER MOTOR WHEN I PICKED IT UP FROM THEM, THEY SAID
ALL SEADOO JET BOATS LEAK OIL. NOT BEING SCHOOLED ON TWO STROKES
I FELT THAT I SHOULD FINd ANSWERS. I CAME HERE TO THE BOARD, AND
TOLD MY STORY. I TOOK OUT THIS SEADOO CHALLENGER 1996 FOR AN HOUR
BEFORE WINTERIZING IT. MORE OIL ABOUT A FOOT from under engine. I CLEANED IT ALL UP AND STORED IT. two weeks later it was a warm day we pulled out of storage and opened motor hatch, Ugly SITE! i lost two inches of very expensive oil what a mess in bilge. the new manager told me to bring boat
back and they apoliged to no end. they had several customer complaints
about this manager. they stepped up to the plate and are replacing oil lines
pump seal and oil lost, plus winter storing it inside for free. they also
said this boat will be completely detailed like new when we pick it up in
april. thanks again for all of your helping me.

Glad to hear they stepped up and helped you out. Too many dealerships that are dropping the ball.

Great!...

Yeah, I remember your story. It sparked a lot of protest from several Seadoo enthusiast who love their crafts and know they DON'T LEAK OIL!.....
Just very happy to see your getting a good deal now.
Please, don't be a stranger to the site. Come back and let us know how things work out and when you get it, if you think anything is amiss, where here!

Yea, I remember the tale of the bad dealer and service center too. I am real glad they did the correct thing. Keep us updated when you get that bad boy in the water ...
