Lean hesitation will eat 2-strokes up in a hurry, being lean causes detonation and piston temp shoots up, oil film fails and the piston melts, sticks to the cylinder or leaves skid marks on the cylinder and that's all she wrote. Right up there with oiling issues.

In my opinion yes. The remans are good but they don't use the top quality parts.
If you can do it yourself it will be a better engine.
OEM crank, pistons & rings, seals, gaskets and reeds will be $900. $150 to have both cylinders bored and honed and you are at $1050.

Seadoo also sells a complete reman for $1330.

Where can I find the seadoo reman? Can’t find anything on their website

$1330 for a reman, that's cheap as dirt in the marine world. Sure, it might only be capable of 250 hours, who knows, mine still runs fine although I have no idea of how many hours are on it, more than a few, I figure.
