So far it works great. Nice to have when I need to do some trailer repairs.
Spent about $20.00 on parts at Home Depot. Does not wobble or anything, but I may add a couple off cross supports on the legs.

Looks good. I've built a bunch of PVC stands over the years.

I do recommend that you tie all the bottoms together. (left to right) The problem with PVC is that when it fractures, there will be no warning. Since I can see the flex on the center ties... you may go out the garage, and the ski will be on the floor. (the "V" of the hull is pushing the top apart)

Here is a pic of my homemade ski stands. I wanted to be able to roll them around since I have them cramped into my other bay of my garage. I used bolted together 4x4's and heavy duty casters. Angled the top boards and covered in some cheap carpet.

Thanks for the advice, I will do that. Is there a way to put casters on a PVC stand.

I like this. How do you transport the jet ski from the trailer to the stand. Winch?

I assume you built the stand the same height as your trailer. Any scratch to the hull? If you can post or send pics without the jet ski on?

Thanks,

When I transfer mine, I just put 2 blocks behind the tires of the trailer, and then I spray a little silicone on the pvc and it slides right off the back. The when Im done I just wench it back on.

I didnt take any pics before I slid the skis on the racks. Sorry, but i would be happy to send you some demensions if youd like. I have the rungs of the rack set just below the rungs on the trailer and also just either hook the trailer to my truck to hold it or chock the wheels and then pull the ski off onto the rack. To put it on I will move the rack up to the trailer and use the trailer whinch to pull the ski back on. The carpet hopefully will protect the hull from scratches.
Ill take some pics tomorrow while im working on the GSX and post them. The racks are easy to build and with the 4" casters roll around super easy. Makes woring on it an easier task in a cramped garage.

Seems like it would also be nice for storage. Keep the jet ski in the garage during the winter, and set the trailer outside and covered up with a tarp. Save on room that way.

Was trying to decide whether or not to buy a stand or build one but from your guy's pic's should be able to come up with something that would work. Looking at possibly doing some hull gel coat repair this winter and was wanting to build a stand if possible. Thanks for posting the pic's guys, think I might try my hand at building one myself rather than spend all that money.

I was in the same boat a few weeks ago, then I saw a PVC stand for sale on craigslist...then I decided I could build one. Was great so I could put new runners on my trailer and start replacing all the rusty bolts....trust me when I say if I can build one anyone can LOL.
