Crank case sealing

Hi

Can someone advise when sealing the 2 bottom pieces of your crank case do you apply sealant on the seals too?

Or does it only go around the casing both sides

I just did the case half’s with 3 bond 1211

Cheers I have the same stuff I did it like that ,but after watching some u tube videos I see some guys put it on the seals ,so just checking.

I have my motor opened as replacing my rings ,so now is a good time to do it if I need to do it.

Yeah the book calls for loctite 518 I think but there are plenty of threads on here that recommend the 3 bond. I think the you tube channel Today We Wrench puts loctite the book calls for on the seals it probably doesn’t hurt anything,they seem to build some nice ski’s.
