Cracked Pump Housing

Hello all. I put my seadoo in the water for the long weekend and after a short run I noticed something was wrong (only going 40mph and pulling hard to the left). Got back to the cottage and put it on the lift to realize that the Jet Pump Housing is cracked. Wondering what would cause this damage? Also, where is a good place to order parts from? Do you think the impeller would be cracked or damaged? Should have taken pictures but the lake was too cold to stay in any longer. Thank you for your help.

Pastic pumps in the '03's are junk. Get a better one.

Pastic pumps in the '03's are junk. Get a better one.

Was replaced with Cast Aluminum 3 years ago by the previous owner. I knew the plastic housings were junk and one of the reasons I bought this machine was due to the fact that had been replaced... Now it has a long crack in it.

Location says Toronto, so I take it that's where the ski was stored for the winter. If your front pump seal failed, water entered the pump, and the water froze last winter; that cracked the pump housing. I rebuild my pump last November, and the pump was filled with a mixture of water and grease.

Hey all i need a new pump housing as well. Found out i have a plastic shit one on my 03 gtx4tec. Is there an aftermarket hi flow pump? Or do i have to get a stock 04 aluminum one? Any tips would be great i want to buy one thjs week asap.

I have a cracked plastic housing as well. 06 GTX, standard, grey/white. Anyone have a used aluminum for sale?
