Last weekend i went a bought some prawns(shrimp) from one of our local trawlers.I was looking at all the hardware on the decks and asked the skipper how he keeps it so fresh looking.Considering their enviroment. He put me on to a stuff that he uses and most of the trawlers use also. It's a stuff called Lanotec. It's from the wool of sheep and I had a look at their website.Very interesting. The military, oil companies, mining companies etc. are all using it.The trawler skipper told me they spray it on the hulls of the trawlers each time they slip the boat, and over the top of the anti-foul it has seen them double the protection of the anti-foul paint. It's made in Australia but there may be an equivalant in the U.S. or this stuff itself. The tech.data is an interesting read and so is a lot of it's uses.Hope this may help anyone.Cheers Crisso www.lanotec.com.au
