How much coolant does a Seadoo GTX 2004 require? I swear I more less topped up last fall, now there is nothing in the resourvoir? I think I bought a jug of it 3.78 liters. I bought Prestone premixed. would have drained any where when I winterized it, sorry can't think straight today.

I'm not sure what the capacity is. I'll check manual when I get home tonight and report back if someone doesn't beat me to it

While KK looks up the capacity, if your resevoicr was half full last fall and is now empty, its going to be in the bottom of your hull. Its a closed loop system. I wouldn't get too stressed yet as its pretty common for some of the cooling lines to loosen up when the rubber gets below freezing. But now that its warmed up a bit top off the resevoir with 50/50 and keep an eye on it.

Oh and also when refilling the system make sure you have the drain open until you see no more bubbles coming out. That's when you close it and fill to the mark on the bottle. Run for two min with water hose attached then let it cool for 15 min. Check level fill as needed and you should be good to go assuming you have no leaks

So sounds like I haven't added enough yet. when you say drain open, are you talking about the metal lid for the reservoir?

No I'm talking about the drain by the pump where you actually drain the coolant from the system. It didn't make much sense to me but after I read the directions in detail it does make sense. In your case it seems like the air bubbles just burped their way up and that's why your reservoir is low. Just add too it off and run it for 2 min then let it cool and see where you're at.

that is the drain at the back on the metal plate with small grub screw you take out. Man I forget everything I did in the fall. lol

Yes that drain. I guess by filling it with the drain open you flush out the air bubbles faster than it takes for the system to burp itself. However yours had all winter to do so. I would just top it off an call it good.
