Ok this will sound like a stupid question to most of you but I thought I'd ask anyways. My coolant was low this spring on my Challenger 180 so I topped it up with some Prestone pre-mixed stuff. A few days later I was at the dealership and saw that they sell BRP Sea-Doo coolant "specially formulated for Sea-Doo PWCs and boats". The temp range on the bottle was the same but it was twice the price for half as much.

Ok so question: is coolant...coolant? Or should I really be using BRP-specific stuff?

Thanks!

As long as it's aluminum safe... you are fine. AND, most are these days.

As far as "Twice the cost, and half the amount"... you should see the pump oil. I think they charge $9 for a little 9oz bottle. You can get a quart of synth, GL5 at the auto parts store for $5.
