Cone Oil

I've always used Mobil 75W 90 synthetic gear lube in the jet pump cone but the open bottle I have is sevaral years old and wasn;t sure it was OK to use so stopped to buy a new bottle nbut the store i was at only had the Pennzoil SAE 80W 90 gear oil on the right. Is it ok to use this Pennzoil in the cone or do I need to get the Mobil synthetic that I've always used. I can't read the date on the bottle I have, it may be 8-10 years old.

Yea, that's actually what I ended up doing. I found an old post from Tony (Dr Honda) that said it's better to use synthetic because it handles the heat better so I went with that. Thanks.
