So this is my first year with a 4 stroke ski and I did winterize and one of the steps was to spray xps lube in the cyl and on my plugs before i put away. My question is will it burn off cleanly after a little or would I be better to start the season with new plugs. My old 2 stroke I just used to replace the plugs at the beginning of the season regardless. The ski is a 2015 so the plugs only have about 50 hrs on them just fyi

Most replace the plugs each year just because it is easy. However, you will be fine keeping the original plugs, it will burn off.

Yep, startup and go.
Carry spare spark plugs with the PWC.
If they do fail, the engine will act like it is bogged down.
With your on board tool kit, changing them is easy.

In my experience it's best to start the ski with the old plugs then remove them and throw them in the trash, the last thing you want is a spark plug going South when you are out trying to enjoy your ski.

I have no idea why but I have seen quite a few 4tech plugs go bad when sitting over the Winter, I am not sure what happens to them or why it happens but you can get them for $2.99 each at Autozone or Advance auto parts, for what they cost I wouldn't chance it.

Now if were talking about a Yamaha and the CR9E plugs that cost $9.00 a piece x 4 that might be a different story lol.
