anyone know how to get codes on the machine other than dealer dont have user manual

If you have an active fault code, a new menu called fault codes will appear at the end of the items as you scroll through. If it is inactive or occurred, you can only retrieve with software like BUDS.

i tried manual wont even go onto that mode to retrieve

It has to be active meaning the check engine light has to be on and engine running for the fault code menu to even appear.
