i'm trying to clean my ski i removed the old deacals to get some new ones and they won't be the same so i'm trying to get rid of the color change between the 2. i've been using a polishing wheel and rubbing compound but i just get the shinest discoloration. lol please help i'm about to paint this thing jk

After removing my original decals that were 12 years old I had the same problem. I wet sanded the area and it got most of it white again. There is still some minor discoloration but you have to look really hard to find it.

Go to www.pwcgraghics.com for some decals...Got some for my 95 seadoo xp and they look great,,,good quality and great priceand lots of selections and colors...just wish i knew how to post pictures on this site! :(

please post pics i would like to see just use a attachment feature or just upload to photobucket or imageshack and put on here

i'll post before and after pics i tried sanding a little spot but i really don't want to do that. i ordered some Oxalic Acid offline it's suppose to take out the stains in the pores with no scrubbing! we'll see how it works. cause when i buffed it, it just made the discolored areas glossy. so it shined but was still discolored. i should have it wednesday so i'll get back to ya shortly after.

How did this end up working for you?

ok well the acid didn't work. so i sanded i started with like 220 but really soft and careful, cause very quick you can wear threw the gel coat and have a ugly spot i had to put a sticker over it so it's ok. but 220 then 1000 to clean up any scratches then with a buffer and rubbin compound came out good. after i washed it and waxed it it's sweet now. just do your outlines first around the stickers to fade it in. pics : http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=12630wz&s=7

The whole underside of mine is fairly yellow. Before I got it, the ski was a river jet. The top side of the ski was well taken care of, but it looks like under the rail was neglected. I have used 3M Heavy Duty Compound and some special rubbing compound used by the SeaDoo Factory and neither want to touch this stuff. They will fade it, but it's sure not coming out. I will make up a new post. I really don't want to have to sand the whole entire bottom side.
