Cleaning the fuel switch...

How is the fuel shut off switch attached on a '97 GS ? I pulled the plastic/vinyl plug in the middle of the switch and removed the screw. The switch "lever" is tight, tight and I don't want to bugger any thing up by attempting to strong arm it or damage the lever by grabbing it with vice grips. Any "secrets"...???

calcium has it stuck....with screw out, pry on darn thing.
