I have a 1998 seadoo challenger 1800 and all the seats are in perfect condition. What do I use to keep them clean... and what do I not use!!!!

thanks

Just wash them with soap and keep them clean. Protect them with something. I highly recomend 303 aerospace protectant.

Yup... I also recommend just keep them clean with regular soap and water.

BUT... I don't recommend using any of the "Protectants" on the market. Most of them are just soluble oils... and they actually harm the vinyl.

If you want them to look good for a long time... when you are done with the boat... get it covered, or in the garage. UV and weather is what makes the seats brittle, hard, and ugly.

Thats what makes the aerospace 303 different Doc. It isnt just an oily residue. You should check it out. It is more like sunscreen for your stuff. It blocks the UV rays and keeps the vinyl from breaking down. I had never heard of the stuff till someone here mentioned it. I got it and have been happy with it so far.

I have been using the aerospace 303 for years on my vinyl hot tub cover and it works great. Everyone at the hot tub forum recommends it since your hot tub cover gets abused by the weather. I would def recommend it.

I dunno if its true or not, but I heard this company makes the stuff they spray on the space shuttle.

I put a magis eraser on the boat to clean while out on the water and my wife said that she would not use it on the boat.... it's almost like sandpaper.

How long have you been using the Magic Eraser and do you use it on the fiberglass and seats??

Not true, it works great! Most people rave about it on the boating forums.

I use it on the vinyl only.
