Hello before i start i hope i do not make anyones ears bleed sorry for typing but have other things more important! that is my nice way to put it do not tolerate rudeness in a grown man! again without bothering anyone or sending them to the doctor could i ask
the best way to clean out fuel tank.
thank you

The only way I know is if the tank is removed from the ski. In which case I pour "PURPLE POWER" (hardware stores carry it) into the tank and let it sit overnight. All the brown solid stuff on the bottom of the tank will turn to a liquid and then can be rinsed out with water.

thanks Dinnis now looks like you pull motor to get tank out? hoped you could run a line out the back and flush i would take out pick up tubes
thanks again

That didn't make my ears bleed at all. That was a fairly well formulated, clearly stated question. Sorry, I don't know the answer. But I will be following the thread because I am interested in knowing how to remove the fuel tank also. It sure don't look like the tank fits thru the front access hole, but I've seen threads that seem to suggest it does. When you're busy and don't have time to type, it still saves everybody including you lots of time if the post is understandable. And just for the record, I never claimed to behave like a grown man. But do truly grown men spend their spare time riding on water toys anyway? :)

thanks sorry to be so much trouble but typing with one finger does take time never understood why you need , and. could read war and peace with out a. and get what was going on sorry again as for as the grown man stuff me eather hope i never grow up like to ride with my 5yr old grandson that will not let off throttle on 96 yellow will guess said enough finger is tired and you ears should be bleeding after this long text
thanks again

Ricks, in your other thread, when Dr Honda said "junk in your fuel system". I interpret that as your carbs and fuel filter may need cleaned, I don't believe he was suggesting you take the fuel tank out and clean it. Although, Dennis, I am still interested in knowing how to remove the fuel tank?

Jake

That might help but i think that you did it in when you put seafoam in it. Seafoam is not recommended for 2 strokes its hard on the seals that might be ur problem too although it shouldnt have an immediate effect. What do you think jake

Yeah no good for em it is a detergent and will ruin all the seals internally its not so bad on fourstrokes but its DEATH for two strokes. You should be ok as long as you dont use anymore

well I have to admit I ran seafoam thru one of mine 4 years ago after I saw a few people talking about using it here on the forum when I started having the standard gray line sypmtoms. But now i know better. It didn't help at all. I changed the lines and cleaned the carbs and its been fine eversince. i have no idea if a single usage would have effect on the seals or not but i wouldnt use it again.

guess you learn something every day used in on three yellow xps one sp and wifes gtx for over three years this ski is only one with problem
