1996 xp Speedometer put on a 1996 SPX

Hello everyone, Im new here in the forums and ive gone through rebuilding my 1996 seadoo SPX to become very dependable and reliable. My question i have is is it possible to put a 96 xp Speedometer guage in the space between the two guages and mount the sending unit to the ride plate? How would the wiring work? I assume some of the wires on the guage are for sleep mode but im not sure. Has anyone tried this? Id like it to look seadoo original to match the rest which is why i wouldnt run GPS or something of this era. Has anyone tried this?

I’m interested too...seems like it should work. I believe my 96 SPX has a wire connection that’s capped.

Thats what I was wondering and thank you for replying btw, I am tempted to make the modification to make it like a 96 xp, I know Bombardier used basically almost all of the same parts so you know
