Just replacing all my lines and cleaned the carb.
I took the fuel selector valve off and all that blue stuff is inside of it.
Carb cleaner doesn't seem to work on it. I really wanted to use the ski tomorrow.
Has anyone cleaned this stuff without replacing it?

I just replaced all my lines and cleaned the carbs, a new valve cost 20$, from what i found on forums its best to just replace it.

Ditto, I tried cleaning mine and either the rubber washer inside was already deformed or the carb. cleaner deformed it. Anyway I replaced mine about $35.00 for new valve and knob.

Thanks guys, guess I'll just have to wait to use it.
I'll order on tomorrow.
Wonder what that blue stuff is?
Some say it's deteriated fuel line. I don't think so. Some lines are spottless and some are full of that junk. Gas and carb cleaner doesn't seem to break it down.

how about just direct connecting the main in line to the out line and bypass the selector valve until you get the new one.

Do what Jake said, just bypass the fuel selector until you get a new selector valve.

The green (blue) goo is deteriorated glue. The CG approved fuel line is two pieces with a glue bonding them together, the ethanol in modern fuels breaks down the glue and makes a goo that gets into the fuel delivery system. If it makes you feel better the same thing happens to fuel lines in boats, I just replaced the fuel line on the pontoon, its a 2006 and the fuel line had started to break down.
