Changing out fuel lines (97 Challenger)

I am (will be) putting on new fuel lines on my '97 Challenger this spring. The old ones are hard and I have started having some minor seeps here and there.

It looks pretty straight forward, however is getting to the fuel shut off valve tough to do? Can you get to this valve from above (through the control lever area) or from the engine compartment? Just seems to be in a tough location.

Any advice here?

Remove the throttle/shifter control. You dont have to remove the cables just pull it up out of the way.

While you are fixing fuel items at the selector you may already know there are o-rings inside which suffer the same fate of time and wear, removing the valve itself can be done by taking off the knob and large nut - then wiggle the lines altogether towards the top or to the engine bay, when you get your hand on the valve you will see a screw into the side that holds the rotary stuff in, if you do not feel comfortable making a repair inside a new one can be added to your shopping list for about 25bux to take away any fear of drawing air and lean running problems that kills a lot of the 2stroke series.
