Changing oil brands

I hate to tell you this but you've been using the wrong oil for the last 4 years. TC-W3 is not recommended for SeaDoo's period you should be using API-TC low ash oil, the TC-W3 is no ash. I'm not sure what's available in Oz, I believe that Penrite has a API-TC oil, there's a recent thread on the subject.

You have 717's so you don't have to use full synthetic, synthetic blend or API-TC mineral oil is O.K. You should drain the old oil bleed the oil lines replace the filter before changing oils.

The Quicksilver PWC oil, in the gold bottle is the only one in the link you sent that would be suitable, the other two are TC-W3 oils.

What Quicksilver PWC oil is in a gold bottle? All i have seen is full synthetic in the black jug and the blend in a silver jug.

Rich,

It's the same as the Black bottle full synthetic, only it's marketed in Australia.

Cheapest aprroved Seadoo oil for the 720's and lower is @ Farm & Fleet. It is Mystik Sea & Snow Semi-Synthetic for $18 a gallon. They do carry the Snowmobile Full Synthetic for $21 a bottle. I am guessing you can use it in a jetski/boat since it meets the reguirments also if any knows for sure. They don't stock to Marine Full Synthetic :-(...

I am moving to the Sea and Snow for my 98 Sportster since it is still $13 less a gallon than buying Amsoil. The previous owner used only Seadoo Mineral oil, that stuff costs to much. I use Amsoil on my Yam GP1200 and Pol SL750. But 2 engines running all the time going to eat oil up.

The problem is they don't have a lot of choices in Australia, Shell, Pennrite, SeaDoo and Quicksilver, that's about it.
