Hello,

I have a quick question about my sea doos. I have 2 RXT IS 255. I recently was going to start them up for the summer when I noticed they would not crank. So I figured they needed new batteries. Well I changed batteries on one and it runs just fine. For the second one I was told that the battery just needed some new fluid. Now my problem comes with the second one. After refilling the battery fluid I go to start it and it turns on and idles just fine. The problem comes when I go to engage the throttle it does not kick out of neutral. It will not go forward or reverse. So it just sits there idling with no fault codes. These batteries were super hard to get to and change. Was wondering if maybe I hit some switch or something while changing the batteries. Please help the dealer down here sucks and takes forever to get anything done as they only have one mechanic. I am hoping it is an easy fix. Thanks.

Leaving the battery sit low too long will damage the battery. Vented batteries let air get to the plates and they corrode. Get the new sealed AGM battery. The put out 600amps, better than the top vented brand battery at 340amps. The old battery will test ok but then fail to start. Test it then (stress) and it will be low voltage and under 300amps.

This! Spend the extra money for a sealed battery.
