Hey guys!
Bit of a head scratcher here lol for me anyway.
1998 Seadoo Challenger twin 787’s having some issues... Recently got the boat

Issue 1: neither engine seems to be charging the battery so I ordered a new rectifier and tried it on the first engine and as soon as you plug it into the black and red wires it’s fine but when you plug it into the yellow wires it takes two seconds and melts the fuse in the black box. On the second engine the fuse doesn’t blow (but it’s clearly melted before) and it doesn’t charge. Battery voltage is 12.6 and if either engine starts it sits at 12.6,I tried testing the yellow wires at the plug of the rectifier, none of the yellow wires seem to be making any voltage with the engine running. Although I was using the multimeter on the setting I would normally use to test 12 volt so may not be testing it right. So since nothing is charging I am assuming both engines need a new stator?
the previous owner had mentioned it was running well before, but who wouldn’t lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
