Any update on this? Were you able to discover the source of the leak and/or get it fixed?

You also mentioned that there was a bunch of silicone goobered up where the dealer had fixed something. Do you have any pictures of this, and have you determined if their repair was the source of the leak?

Unfortunately I am working out of town for a few weeks. But when I get home I will take some more photos and post them.

The dealer said that they had filled the engine compartment with water and saw no leaks. Also checked for leaks with the engine running but couldn't spot anything. Last thing they suggested is that I elevate the tongue of the trailer as high as possible and fill the engine compartment with water to see if the leak is in the upper/lower hull joint. A tandem axle trailer and boat with a total weight of 5200 pounds?? Sure, I'll just lift it. Somebody prop a 2x4 under there.........*LOL*

And I still have not heard from BRP if this is normal or not...........

ITS A BOAT!!! Why shouldn't you be able to leave a BOAT in the water I mean that's not what there meant to do anyway is it? I know I would just love having to pull my boat out of the water every night. I don't see Yamaha having any issues... I'll keep my "real" boat any day over something that could turn into and overpriced boat anchor because I want to use it in the water and not just sit and look at it sitting on the trailer.

I agree that a properly-maintained boat should be able to sit in the water for long periods of time without sinking. Considering how much water it would take to sink a boat, if it leaks that much, something should be fixed.

I think I get most of my water from splashing over the bow. I've never had that much that it couldn't be explained from normal use. Do all those boats docked at slips really connect to shore power and have a bilge running from time to time to pump out water? I sure don't remember that with my parent's boat when I was a kid. The way some people make it sound, it's almost like it's a constant battle to keep up with the water coming in! :)
