Last Thurs the starb-carb got back on the boat. Monday we went out on it, initially after 10 mins of 3/4 trottle, starb-motor dies. (as "normally"). As before, I thought that the motor is running hot due to the super lean mixture, from the absense of the oil injector pump.(BTW, shaft has been removed on both Timmy) After limping back to the beach to drink beer, I ran the both motors at idle for about 15 mins. I think that the premixed fuel had not made it to the motor. we then, in very rough water, tried to recreate the dying motor. We ran as best as we could w/o beating our bodies to mush, no dying motor.

So now I think either, A) Problem solved; B) Problem not solved...i)water intake clogged, ii) or something that I don't know could be wrong.

What do you guys think.

Thanks everyone.

You should have checked the spark plugs, to get a reading. It could be that the straight gas was in the fuel lines, and fuel filter till the premixed fuel got into the carbs.
Run it again and see what happens.

as i expected

I like that answer...
When the prev-owner/mechanic disabled the oil injection, the big fuel/water seperator filters were taken off, should I put them back in? the Inline filters are still there. The only other boggling question i have is i have not had any problem(knock on wood) with the port motor...NONE?!?!

Thanks everyone

You shouldn't need extra water fuel separators. Just try to get ethanol free fuel if it sets for awhile...
