Carburetor rebuild 951

Hello, I'm in the process of rebuilding a 951 carburetor. I was wondering if I need to replace the small hoses that are attached to the carburetor. Not the 5/16" hose or 1/4" return hose. They do not appear to have the green goo in them but if I need to replace them what size do I get? Thank You

Hello I have another question I've just received my mikuni 951 rebuild kit with new needle and seat. The needle and seat package says 2.0 but when I look at the seat it says 1.2 and the one that's in my ski says 2.0 should I just reuse the 2.0 one . Not quite sure what to do here. Thanks1004201029.jpg

I'm now working on the PTO side of the carburetor. Should I be using both the diaphragm dampener that's rubber and diaphragm dampener that's clear on the fuel filter side The instructions that come with the kit only reference the magneto side of the carburetor.

First those are the wrong needles and seats and not Genuine Mikuni so don’t use them and get the correct ones.

The clear film piece only goes on the carb with the fuel pump.

Thank you for the reply yes that's what I thought but I was confused with the instructions. As far as the needle valve and seat is concerned I knew something looked odd. Can you suggest where I can pick up true mikuni needle and seats.

As far as the needle and seats are concerned. How do I know that I actually need to replace them. Can I just use the new rubber washer that came with the rebuild kit. I've attached a picture of both for reference thank you again for your help.

You can see the ring worn in the rubber tip of the needles. Yours are beyond ready for a replacement.

Okay Carburetor is completely rebuilt and reinstalled. Before I fire it up. I read that I should prime the fuel line and carburetor by removing the return line from carburetor and putting low pressure to in and when it comes out of the return t connector I should be good to start. Is this the correct procedure? Thank You.

If you want to you can blow into the return line or just use full choke and run the starter in 10 sec intervals, it will start pretty quick

I've never had to prime anything and i've installed more 951/carbs than I can recall. Just pull the choke for a bit.
