Hey guys, so I was having surging problems before changed the carb on 2001 seadoo gti. It was running perfect for about 4 mins and then it ended up dying on me and now it won’t start. I pulled the plugs they were very dry what could be the issue. Before the I put the new carb in, with the old carb my plugs were always a little bit soaked. If anyone could give any guidance that would be very appreciative.

You need to make sure the two internal jets are the correct size, the needle seat is the correct size and the spring is correct and the two outer screws are set correct.

You can’t just slap a new carb on and assume everything listed above is correct for your particular year and model.

Wouldn’t that mess with the pop off pressure?
It would mess with pop off pressure but there’s a good chance that it is already incorrect for your year model.
The same carb body was used for many models, however the stuff mikidymac mentioned was changed inside the carbs between the different models.
