hi.

This is on a 93 XP 657 Carb ???

When putting the carb kit in i found that the pop off pressure was around 35 psi..

Yes i know it's too high.. i found less pressure spring.. to 27 psi.. that is in it now..

I want to know What can i expect?? I ran it with the 35 psi pop off pressure and it Idle fine Ran up too 4000 had a REALLY hard time going from 4000 to 5500 rpm it acted like it had to build pressure or VERY lean and had to build up fuel to take off But once it did It ran like a Great.

Any one Thoughts???

thanks Guys

pop-off, high. Try'n to transition, from low to high circuit. If you rebuilt the carb/s, thats fine, but no need to change springs, with ones from kit. Was it a Mikuni kit you got or something else, you only wanaa use mikuni parts for carb rebuild. If you got the oem springs for the n/s assy, re-install those.

well yes it was OEM Mikuni kit.. i put in the wrong spring the first time..

Now i have a gauge and the right Springs But i hav't started it yet..

Should i expect Snappy from idle to 7000 rpm or what???

thanks matt

"right' springs, meaning the original ones, that were in the carb/s to begin with? If so, then yup, snappy from idle to 7k...
