carb connection question

Hey guys I was just checking over this skis n.lines and all. For some reason I never thought to ask about this till know. The fuel line that heads to the Carbs and swings to the pto carb has a little plastic y fitting so it can go to each carb. Is it okay to have plastic fitting? I mean I've not had problems yet but just never known gas n plastic to be friends.

Its perfectly OK. Those pics show rough carbs, chipped or no paint or grease to protect from Aluminum Oxide permiation thru the metal.

Ya I cleaned them up really good though when I had them off they look a lot better know, and everything runs great. I just wanted to make sure the plastic fitting was okay.
