Carb Base Gaskets?

Simple question, been looking through the parts diag. and cant seem to find what adhesion used for the carb base gaskets? Or do they go on dry, did a full rebuild on my HX's carbs, new springs, needles, seats, greased up the throttle and choke shafts a little, pop-off at 55psi.

Only thing holding me off from getting it on the water is just to double check with the carb base gaskets since I only bought two. That and a small bundle of small things I need to get done after I install the carbs (bleeding oil lines)

They go on dry and torque them to factory specs.

If anything is needed to hold them in place use just a tiny amount of Threebond 1211.

No, that one should be dry too.

The only pipe gasket that gets sealant is the copper ring gets Permatex Ultra Copper RTV on each side.

Also make sure the rubber pipe support bushings are in perfect condition or you’ll have pipe gasket issues.

Yep all taken care of, got the four bushings with washers and new bolts for the lower section of the pipe.

Now I’m pretty much ready to just bolt it all together and take it on the water before I start doing the cosmetics. Compression 135 on both cylinders

135 is a little low but within spec. If they are dead even 135/135 it could even be your gauge.
150 psi is perfect and at 120 the engine is done and in need of a rebuild.

yeah I also think it is the gauge(used a known accurate one for pop-off at shop), although I plan to tear down the motor after this season (if all goes according to plan.) Once the weather clears up over here I'll put it all together, its been raining nonstop and with exhaust and carbs off I hope condensation didn't mess with anything internally. I should probably start using my original HX thread instead of going off the topic with this one now.

I can merge them for you.

Don’t worry about condensation as long as the hull doesn’t fill with water you are fine. Always have the drain plugs out whenever the ski is out of the water. I have seen flooded skis that were not in water for years due to rain.

alright, just worrying me since I've just been swapping out lint free towels in the intake and exhuast because they'd become damp, would hate to rush it but I'd have more of a piece of mind being able to get it to some temp soon.

Well, it looks like the merge option for threads isn't an option anymore. I would just start adding to your HX resto thread so we can keep that going.
