Hey all. Short version. New to me seadoo 03 gtx 4techS/C. getting oil on display going into limp mode at 3000 rpm ish. Hit mode 5times no code comes up. Would like to hook it up to check codes.... anyone have a comp around oc California that can read this? The stealership wants alot just to use the computer. Much thanx

Sounds like low pressure oil switch is causing your headaches man. Search the forum there are lots of threads on this. :cheers:
 
Hit set 5 times, not mode. Must do it while the fault is active. Press mode to cycle through all faults until it says end.
 
Im pretty sure we tried set and nothing came up. Just did an oil change and oil pressure sensor change. Going for a test run tomorrow.
 
Even if you have no codes, you will get a long confirmation beep and it will say END which lets you know you have no active codes. If you shut if off, and put the key back on and it is no longer in limp mode, that means the code is no longer active and won't come up when pressing set 5 times. You have to do it while the problem is happening or active. If you want to see codes that are not active, you'll need BUDS or CanDoo, but inactive codes mean very little if it's running fine and most skis have plenty of inactive codes, so many that normally you have to clear them and get it to do the problem again before you really know what it is.

Which oil pressure sensor did you change? If you didn't change the rear one, it is unlikely that you solved the problem. I did a pretty thorough explanation of this in someone's post a few years ago, do a search.

every time we start up the ski it appears to be fine and as soon as we get over 3000 rpm it goes into limp mode and has a solid tone we tried reading the code when it was toning and it said end. Will have better update in a few hours. On our way to the lake now.
Ski d00 yes we changed the rear sensor right by the oil filter. The front sensor for the tank was just replaced by the prev owner
