I have 2 96 GTX's which neither of the multifunction gauges work. Can I unplug and remove the gauges and still run the ski with the open connectors? I was assuming so but just wanted to check. Thanks

Leaveing them connected will not hinder the ski performance. Gauges are not needed and are an unecessary convenience. You have an overheat buzzer that
is necessary, you can get seaweed or debris that can stop up the cooling ports
that are just behind the prop in the thrust/pressure area. To test, unplug from head and ground to a head bolt, it should sound! Bills86e

Yeah I was just going to take it off to have less wires running around. Isn't the buzzer seperate fron the main gauge? If I am not mistaken it is located at the bottom of the handlebar pad. So remove the temp sensor wire from the sensor screwed into the head and touch it to a cylinder head bolt?
