I have a 93 seadoo 587. I have very little water in the hull. It looks like a car with a blown head gasket, milky color, like oil is mixing with water. It also appears to be thicker than water. Can water and oil mix with an engine problem in these things? No water is getting into my oil tank or oil lines.

Also I took it out 2 days ago and it ran fine for about 45 minutes, then died. Afetr I gort it out of the water, I was able to crank again. Engine has good compression, carbs have been rebuilt, no grey fuel lines, everything seems ok. Any post with ideas on what problems these skis have would be helpful.

I also have a 96 717 that ran great for about 35 minutes, then bogged down, power came back, bogged down again, power came back and then it died. Once again, when I got it out of the water, it started back up and ran fine again. I did have exhaust in the hull. I know this could be part of the problem. As many posts on normal issues with this ski would be helpful. I have checked alot of stuff, but anything would be helpful. No matter how insignificant it may sound. No grey fuel lines on this one either. Thank you. :)

No... the water and oil can't mix. The milky junk in the hull is water trying to mix, but it will separate back out. Just tip the hull up, and rise it out.

Next... if you have multiple questions... especially on more than one ski, make separate posts. It can get confusing quick. Also tell us the model as there may be differences. a "93 SeaDoo 587" can be 5 different skis. (more if you count international stuff)

So, tell us what your 93 is, and make the 96 a separate post.
