Can the OEM Speedometer (off a 1998 SeaDoo Sportster) be "calibrated"?

Wondering if the speedometer can be adjusted to more closely match the actual speed? I'm reading 5-6 MPH faster than the boat is actually going (at least in that 20MPH range).

Candoopro offers a GPS module that replaces the paddle wheel that seadoo uses for the speedometer. If......You could get your Speedo calibrated you're one small piece of dirt away from throwing out of whack. That's why we all call then the dream-o-meter, it's just you get you in the ballpark. www.pwcmuscle.com had the modules on their website. They're listed for pwc's, so you'd be in uncharted territory on hiking it up to a boat. I think it's only 3 wires. Maybe candoo had schematics on their website.
