Can I remove carb filter on my 97 GTI ?

Hello,

I've read the posts on replacing the gray fuel lines and cleaning everything out, including the tiny filter in the carb. I've replaced the lines and cleaned all I can,.....I'm thinking of installing an in-line sintered bronze filter right at the carb and remove the tiny filter from the carb. Any potential problems ???

nope, dont need to run the bronze filter, you got one inline already. I've heard of people removing the carb filter, stuff will just go thru system anyway, but not fan of it.
