I found this bouncing around in the bottom of the engine compartment.(2000 GTX DI) Can anyone identify it for me. I found this bouncing around in the bottom of the engine compartment. 99.9% sure it is what the bolt that holds the cable onto your battery threads into. probably just an old one that fell out when a battery was replaced.
 
yes definitely hold onto it as you will undoubltedly drop one into the hull some day when you are changing the battery, I have a few of them and the bolts in my tool box. always easier to grab one from the toolbox than to fish around the bottom of the hull.
My latest battery from Advanced Auto has the threads right in the battery post so at least on that ski i don't have to deal with those #$% things.

heh, heh, do you guys think we should have told him what it really is and how important not to run his ski without it? Always fun messin with the new guys. :rofl:
sure hope he's got a sump pump in his ski.
