Buying some pieces

i want to buy a new paddle boat speedometer

they say it is for a seadoo jetboat #278000276 but mine have a different number 278 000 970.

The strangest thing is that 278000276 only 34,95 $ is and 278 000 970 more than 100 $ costs.

When i google 278 000 970 the prices are over 100 $

would it be safe to buy from greatlake skipper or is this not for a boat.

That sensor would work for a boat or ski with the 3 wire sensor. Unfortunately I think yours has 2 wires. I made the same mistake.

you can hook a 3 wired sensor on a 2 wire sensor if i may belive the internet.

I have read that, but you can find the correct sensor for under 50, so why bother trying to make an incorrect part work.

I found quite a few on ebay when I needed mine. It doesnt have to be the exact part number. Pretty much any 2 wire sensor will work.

I would buy a 2 wire sensor instead of that 3 wired one.

this is wat they send to me today : The #BRP278000970 (SENSOR-SPEED) has been superseded to BRP278000218 (SEAL-WIRE) which is $3.99.

that is much less then 50.

it is olso possible that i don't understand tham well

They gave you the wrong part number. That isnt the speed sensor. That is for what they call a wire terminal seal. Not even close. Someone messed up.
