Buying a 1996 Challenger

Hello!

I am thinking of buying a 1996 seadoo challenger, to see follow this link:

I think this looks like the coolest boat, but i have some questions before buying.

Is this the same boat as the speedster?

Can you do a powerturn with this boat? Can you do a "submarine" with this boat? (diving down in the water) and is that safe?

Is it a steady boat? Does it use a lot of fuel? Consumption?

I like riding waves from big ferries, is that doable with this boat? Riding in the middle of a huge wake from a carrier i mean.

Do you get "hood\roof" to this model for protection from the sun?

Is it possible to get a extended pylon for wakeboarding?

Anything else i should know?

Is it possible to get a extended pylon for wakeboarding? I think So but remember its 110 hp If you a big person you better know how to get up fast

Also It looks like the back jet drive is missing and you should do a compression test before buying a new motor with shipping can run up to 1200USD

:agree: The back jet drive is definately missing. Maybe it was in the middle of repair when the pictures were taken?? If it's not there when you go to look at the boat I would pass.....or look into the cost of getting a new/used one and negotiate a better price!

I would not buy one unless it was 100% to complete and I could give it a test run as the boat could have a problem that can not be known without a test run then I would buy one that is close to $1000.00 less than the retail value and I would be expecting to invest 1 to 2 thousand in repaires the 1st year and if nothing goes wrong than I would consider my self lucky. :cheers:
