okay guys a couple questions is someone could put their .02 in it would really help ... i got the mounts on i dont think the shaft is positioned properly im going to attempt to fiddle with it tomorrow some more even tho the shaft was never disconnected from the motor i guess im still going to have to take the jet pump out and try to re align it properly?....and i hit the starter button and all i hear is clicking from the electrical box .... i pulled the box and opened it and i think its coming from the starter seleniod ? im hoping thats what it is theres two red wires going to it ? any suggestions?

yes...
I tried the let me leave axle in and it will never align.
Remove pump/shaft. Drop motor on mounts and shims if they had them. Check if engine sits flat and bolt holes line up.
Pretty much then is then sliding shaft and pump in together to align engine. Helps if you have two people.

If you're hearing just clicks,
is your battery FULLY charged? probably been sittin a while while you were doing the mounts, and/or trying to test it while you were trying to line up the motor..
and DO NOT jump it off a car, running or not...
and btw, OCOD & SDB, yea i know that dude in bradenton, I pass him EVERY TIME i come back n forth here..and when i used to live there, i stopped there once before i bought a jetski, just bc i was at the store one day, and if you pull out of the back side of the parking lot instead of the front, i LITERALLY saw a house with like 2-3 LOTS worth of JETSKIS... i was amazed...it was kinda like a retirement home for jestskis...i was shocked..it seemed like he had good deals at the time, but i also didnt know much about skis...
im gonna email him today.

lol, that guy saves, fixes, and sells EVERYTHING...you're lucky if he'll give you a hose clamp for free if you buy a hose from him...

I Figured that...just asking?
Is this the guy you were going check for me?

If so, then PM me the location so i can see myself over Thanksgiving.

I had it on the trickle for a week or so now lol the hull did fill up with water and there was a little water in the electrical box maybe that caused something ?

OCOD,..yup still trying.....LOL

GET THE WATER OUT OF THE ENGINE ASAP.

matty- water in box isn't a good thing either...didn't have a seal?

first pic doesn't look to bad. what im i not seeing
fully charged battery should solve that. If not I have a solenoid I bought to problem solve that I don't need anymore if its bad :)

boy, those mounts are terrible....but you know that.

the first pic - If you mean the space opening between the 2nd clamp from the left to the third clamp where the (blueish grease is) that space is normal. I just looked at mine and I have an even a little bit larger gap than you.

BTW..doesn't the boot off the white PTO look too flat? I just put a couple pumps of grease in mine and it bulges out a little bit more than his.

So seadoobuddy you think the motors aligned decent? Or should I go through the process of taking the jet pump off ? I think I should try to figure out why it's not starting and see if it's driveable?

oh, i see what he's sayin...
if you look at the pic, and tilt your head to the right, looks like his motor is sitting to the right side...its not dead canter with the pertrusion in the hull...
and matty, my motormounts looked like that too!
i would do it right and pull the pump out...this way, when you slide the driveshaft back in, you'll know if the motor needs to be moved left or right...your call....
And im just going off a hunch, haven't looked at mine, its pouring rain out, but im thinking the motor/driveshaft should be dead center of the middle of the hull?

...and either his wear/stainless ring look really good where they meet, or mine is terribly bad....

First off you can't look at a picture and know if your alignment is perfect. If it isn't you are going to chew the splines off your driveshaft and be buying a new one. Also, I also assume that despite other people telling you it looks good to go, that you know that o-ring on your shaft is supposed to in the groove in the shaft under the SS ring? Take the pump off and check the alignment as Chester demontrates in the video you were sent early in the thread. No offense to anyone, but personally on something that could be very costly if you f it up, I wouldn't be soliciting advice from someone who never did it before, but it's your money. I never installed a motor mount and realigned the engine either so that's all I'm going to say. Good luck.

I didn't comment on postion of ring b/c i though he was just fitting. But yep the way to do is remove pump. No way to get right alginment.
He's been told already about tool. Theres that 50/50 chance
