IMG_5287.jpegI don’t think anyone cares lol, but I seem to like to share so if I’m allowed I will use this thread to share stuff that really doesn’t matter. I picked up my 4 gallons of Triax 2T oil today in Ogdensburg, excited about that. Opened it up and it’s blue🤮. But I know it meets the criteria so…. 😀. IMG_5286.jpegWhile I was in Ogdensburg I went to look at this machine. The fellow tells me it’s a 98XP? Does that seem right? There’s no engine in it, he said it had a 951. I looked on Seadoo source and the 98XPL has a yellow seat, this seat is black and looks original. Anyways, it has a gas shock still and I need that for my 97XP, I think the rub rails can be used, apparently he has the key for it and the MPEM is still there… not that I need that.
I stopped at both US and Canadian border to make sure that I wouldn’t have any issues getting in with my truck that is registered to my business or back in to Canada and it sounds like I should have no problem🤞

That is a 1999 XP, not a 1998 and the seat was silver. Last 2 digits of the VIN is the year and the tag is even in your picture.

Blue API-TC oil! Say it ain't so. Now I am going to have the change my 30+ rule of thumb that if it's blue it's bad. Guess it's time to retire from seadoo.

I doubt my enthusiasm will come through in this post but wholly shit, I finally got up the courage to do a 180, I started riding in 2014 I believe and have been doing tight turns at lower speeds, churning up the water, then turn into my own waves at just the right time to get the wave to go over my bow but only once had I done a 180 and that was on my 95 XP and it was pretty much an accident. Anyways today, my buddy who doesn’t own a Seadoo but has a boat asked me if I wanted to go out today with him on his boat and his uncle on a Seadoo, I said sure. We got out there and he couldn’t get his boat to start. We messed with it for 3 hours but no go, his uncle hadn’t had his Seadoo out in 4 years and was pretty excited to get out, so I said to John, that’s my buddy, how about I go home and grab another Seadoo and we go out. That’s what we did, 23 degrees Celsius today, sunny, gorgeous day. Anyways, I could tell that John and his uncle where looking back at me the odd time, so I knew I had occasional eyes on me in case something were to happen, I always do the same on the seadoo’s and when I’m snowmobiling. So I got up the nerve to go about 25 MPH I’m guessing, maybe 30, then gently to the right, then all the way to the left and wow, it just lets go and spins, like right around, quit a few times, I’m sure it went further than 180, Seadoo seems to be halfway underwater when I do it, water everywhere. I was in my GSXRFI, was playing with the vts to see which works better for it, haven’t figured that out for sure yet, but I am guessing this is also the best way to get into a catwalk? Ad there was a couple times with the vts trimmed up that after spinning you almost come into a catwalk. I turn 50 tomorrow and can finally consistently do a 180 lol. I was stoked. 😀😀😀. Can’t wait for next year

IMG_5674.jpegIMG_5685.jpegIMG_5686.jpegIMG_5696.jpegEarly I had mentioned working to get my barn tidied up again so that I could get stuff in and out of my shop. Well I got it done, I was able to drive my 2001 Polaris in today, turned the air conditioning on, had all my tools right there instead of running in and out to get stuff. Got the right rear in the ATV done, took the axel out, changed the wheel bearing, cleaned the cv axle up and re greased it, put a new cv boot on. Never again will I let my area get the way it was before.
