Does any one know of this problem??? I have a 2004 Sea Doo RXP that I took out for the first time this year about 1 week ago. Once I got the craft on the water it started to run a little sluggish and would not run. I towed the craft back and changed out the plugs and noticed that the 3rd cylinder the one closest to the rear of the craft had excessive carbon build up. Now that the plugs have been changed out the ski appeared to be running fine. I took it out this week end and all ran well for about 20 min or so until the ski just quit and would not crank back over. I pulled the spark plugs once more and the fist two looked fine but that 3rd plug was difficult to remove and once removed I noticed that it completely melted the end off that goes into the motor.

I just got off of the phone with a PWC tech that I know and I did not even finish my story when he told me that this is a know problem for supercharged Sea doo’s between 2003 – 2007. He told me that the engine is shot and I should look at replacing the engine and expect a bill some were between 4,000.00 to 4,500.00. He went on to tell me that this is a well know problem, and there was also a supercharger problem that needed to be fixed as well. Does this sound correct?? Any advice??
