Hi. My 04" GTI runs well but when I started it up for the first time this year at home, it smoked like a blue bug killer, huge clouds engulfed my house. It was immediate so i don't think it was an over heating problem. I ran it for about 3 min. shut it down and let it cool . I started it again and it all repeated. :ack:

There was a thread recently, yesterday or today, where someone complained about oil in his intake on first run of the season. Apparently the seals dry out and leak, but after running them a while they will seal back up on older skis (of course, yours is fairly new).
Maybe running it a while will burn off excess oil and re-seal the seals.
How is it running? Do you see any other symptoms of mis-behavior?

mine does this too. i always assumed it was due to the products put in it to winterize it...
afer 5 mins or so,it goes away and doesn't happen any more(atleast not nearly as much) until the next year.
first time I had this happen, I was in a major marina and I smoked out the place. man, how embarrasing...lol
