Buffing the speedster

A couple weeks ago I purchased a 98 Seadoo Speedster. On my maiden voyage I almost "yardsaled" across the deck. Thus I purchased some Hydroturf. I have yet to install the turf, and wanted some advice.

I was hoping to buff out the fiberglass over the winter (once weather prohibited using the boat comfortably), but know it kicks up some gunk in the process. I'd rather not get all that junk stuck in the hydroturf. Thus, does anyone know if the junk can be removed from hydroturf easily. Anyone ever buff their boat after Hydroturf installation?

Thanks!!

I buffed mine once and polished it out after the hydroturf was on it. It kinda sucked having to work around all the pieces. A wet towel wiped it off when i was done, but it did add to the whole process. It would be much easier to do without the turf on. I buffed the inside and outside of the boat though. If you are just doing the outside, dont worry about it.
