I would like to hear more about break in oil, I have (2) brand new 657X'S getting ready to go in the boat. I have 2 Gal. of Amsoil DOMINATOR Synthetic that I plan on running in it. I was just going to use the Dominator for the break in oil as well, but if thats not the right thing to do then talk me out of it.

Now is the best time to choose the oil tank oil, I use Amsoil for power valves because before I owned my boat 787 my niece had a 800xp and it was easier for everybody to fill the tank with the same stuff, I always start the season with 5 gallons of 32-1 and mark the tank to be sure the motor is drinking the oil then when the little nagging things are fixed I just add gas and go - I use the regular oil for premix and our lawn care stuff uses it.

can I use Amsoil DOMINATOR Synthetic for the break in oil as well ?

Everyone has an opinion on using synth for break in... but I would say sure... it's fine. There are a bunch of cars that come out of the factory with synth oil these days. Also... since it's an injection 2-stroke... you should stay with one oil, so break it in with want you want to run.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
